Behind the Scenes w/ Best Made Videos® – Pethick – Paul-Hayter Wedding

Welcome back for your Behind The Scenes look in to the Pethick – Paul-Hayter Wedding! In case you missed our overview of the day, be sure to catch up on that before we take you further inside the stupendous day we had up at Red Cedar Farm. This day could not have happened had it not been for the online dating service, Plenty of Fish, which goes to show that online dating is truly successful (hey, even our founder met his bride online!)

A spontaneous proposal on a ferry during sunset put the wheels into motion for this grand wedding day. When Alex wanted to take selfies out on deck, Jake played the sleight of hand and got the ring into one of the pictures without her realizing until after the photo was taken. Fast forward to the wedding day, on the last Saturday in June, our full day with the wedding party began promptly at 10am, along with photographer Rebecca Jane. and florist Theresa Althauser. Coordinated by Red Cedar Farm’s Andrea, it was a series of wonderfully fun and stress-free events.

The 100-year-old renovated farm, along with 25 acres of land, make this a truly idyllic venue. Peaceful animals, rustic architecture and a calming aura in general (not to be tarnished by the pinball room), they went above and beyond to make the Pethick – Paul-Hayter wedding a success.

Once hair and makeup got going we were already having the rehearsal by 10:30. Following the run-through, the wedding party was treated to a lunch although one has to wonder how much Jake could possibly eat with the butterflies buzzing around in his stomach! lol

The day for everyone else got going right at noon. It was time to get ready for the big day, so the ladies and gents got to looking like the bee’s knees. Though it didn’t take long, the results were impeccable and it was time for the stunning first look. If ever you want a fun side trip, do make a stop here and enjoy the calmness of the area. We spent a few solid hours taking photos and getting awesome shots of everyone. Before 3, it was time for the rest of the major events to get going.

As the guests arrived, the bridal party had a chance to relax and get a few more bites of food before the ceremony. Received with beverages by Kitsap Bartending services and snacks, the guests filed into the ceremony shortly before 4.

In a flash the wedding we had newlyweds as Jake and Alex were officially made husband and wife by their friend/officiant Ann Long. Hardly needing a break at all, the newlyweds rushed off to the pinball room to sign the papers before arriving back to the reception hall for the party. DJ Sounds Unlimited announced their arrival, and would also supply the tunes for the reception.

From then on out, it was a total blast of a time. Carrying on for almost five hours, the partying just kept on going. Shortly before the 10am exit time, the guests lined up outside with sparklers to send off the newlyweds into their new lives as husband and wife.

We want to thank the bride and groom, Alex and Jake, for picking Best Made Videos® to capture their wedding celebration!
