Customer reviews are the life blood of a small business, they can make or break you. As a wedding videographer my most important source of advertising, (bigger than The Knot, Weddingwire, etc.) is word of mouth.
That is why it is so important to maintain a consistently high level of customer service no matter the situation, you never know when that person is going to come back into your life, either needing your service again, or referring you to a family member or friend.
The first time I ever shot anything for Best Made Videos, I remember driving to the venue. I was so nervous and I realized I didn't have enough memory cards with me to record the entire performance I was being to record! I couldn't believe it. I honestly considered turning around and driving home to save the embarrassment. I didn't however, thankfully lol, and I found a way in my camera to change the recording format so I could fit everything in one card. The client never knew anything different and luckily the whole show went off without a hitch. Lucky I did this, because I still shoot and edit videos for this client even to this day, and I have another performance scheduled for this October.
My point is, treat every customer with the utmost care, you never know when they'll come knocking again. The featured picture for this post is a recent review I received from a wonderful couple I had the pleasure of shooting with last week.
