How did you guys meet?: Work! He was the external consultant & I was the internal consultant (client) on a project. We worked on the same project for 6+ months & remained friends
Tell us about the proposal!: Bride literally had no idea (actually, I was worried something shady was going on because he was acting so weird & secretive, not letting me see/hiding his phone, making plans I didn't know about). We had talked about marriage but it wasn't something I felt we HAD to do on any specific timeline so it wasn't something I was waiting for. We went to Vancouver to see the Flyers play (he's from Philly) with some friends, and he was super on edge the entire time. When I went to sit on his lap at the hotel and he pushed me away, which further fueled my concern. Turns out, he had the ring in his pocket & his plans had all been disrupted so he stressed out. He FINALLY asked on the Waterfront at a Holiday market. Well he said, "let's take a picture down by the water" and I said no, until my friend made me, then when I turned around he was down on one knee!
Why did you choose your venue?: Bride is born & raised in the area, Groom's family lives in Iowa/originally from Philly. We live & work in Seattle & wanted to be in an area where our guests could explore all the cool stuff Seattle has to offer.
What are you most excited to see in the video?: Everything! We did a minimony to keep our wedding date but I am excited to see the wedding we have been planning with our loved ones.
When and where's the honeymoon?!?!: Originally Africa (1 month, Gorilla Trekking, Safari & Maldives)- but with COVID, that is postponed to 2022 (hopefully). In the meantime, we're doing a "minimoon" in Puerta Vallarta Mexico
