“We absolutely love it!!! So much went over my head that day, and I’m so glad you were there to capture all of the important moments we missed that day! THANK YOU!!! I cannot stress enough how important it is to hire a videographer for your big day!! There is so much that goes over your head that day and to have a video of it to see afterwards is the best gift! All the details we had missed were all captured (and the drone addition was perfection!) We could not have asked for a better videographer! Reid is prompt, efficient, detail-oriented and overall just a nice guy! It was fun to work with him and his assistant. I would highly recommend him and hope to have him capture future festivities! Thanks Reid, you’re the best!!”

Golf is either one of the best things you’ll ever do, or a dreadfully miserable experience that you wish could stop. You can have totally great days, or you can slice a ball into the trees after an immaculate drive and completely ruin it.

But when you get married at a golf course? It’s going to be the best darn day of your life. The last day of August took us up to the Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore, which is tucked away beyond the northernmost point of Lake Washington. In case you didn’t already know, we love golf courses and the peace they bring to a wedding day.

We were greeted with mostly clear skies and just a hint of Fall in the air. The Snow wedding got its start off bright and early with some celebratory shots, followed by beer, all made complete by some really fantastic, traditional Vietnamese wedding attire. Following the formal gift exchange between the bridesmaids and groomsmen, it was time for the first ceremony inside the event center, where ceremonial tea was served to both sides of the family before everyone headed outside for some group photos.

The bright reds, pinks and whites of the clothes really popped against the greenery of the golf course, but the attire would change to something a little less colorful yet nonetheless suave. Some more drinking occurred, while the ladies put the finishing touches on Genieve. Pausing for some prayers before Sterling made his epic walk down the aisle, the big moment was quickly approaching.

Beaming with a smile worth a million bucks, Sterling stood waiting for his bride at the end of the aisle. The ceremony itself was a beautiful, touching events for everyone. Heartfelt vows flowed out of the bride and groom as they professed their love for one another and prepared for this brand new journey they were about to embark on. And with a kiss it became official. Just like that.

Some group photos immediately followed the ceremony while the rest of the guests headed off to get the party started, though perhaps the real party was with all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen having a ball of a time working up some crazy poses. The wide open spaces of the golf course helped us squeeze everyone into frame, while the clear skies gave us all the warmth and light we needed.

The inside of the reception hall was a almost like a church with high ceilings and windows letting in just enough light. A magical evening kept the already great day going as the dancing gave everyone a second-wind to keep the party continuing even as the lights slowly faded away. As the day came to an end, we got some private shots of Genieve and Sterling out alone on the golf course, just the newlyweds, ready for whatever was to come.

Thank you again to Genieve and Sterling for choosing Best Made Videos® to film your wedding! We hope you’re having a splendid first couple months together.

Genieve and Sterling’s story in their own words:

How did you guys meet?

We met through a mutual friend for a going away party; out dancing at a nightclub. We became great friends fairly quickly and feelings grew, and the rest is history!

Tell us about the proposal!

Sterling made reservations for dinner at the Space Needle for my birthday! It was so beautiful & the food was delicious. He was getting a little ansy towards the end of dinner, and had left me for a good ten minutes saying he needed to use the “bathroom”. He finally comes back and says “Sorry I had to wash my hands.” I responded, “for ten minutes?” Then that very moment, the waitress brought a fancy dessert which ended up having the ring on top! It was so special. The waitress recorded the whole proposal for us and the other customers were cheering and clapping! Then he took me down to where our closest family & friends were waiting to congratulate us. I was overwhelmed with joy!

Why did you choose your venue?

Originally I wanted a venue with a water view, but stumbled across IGC on my venue search and fell in love. The scenery is beautiful and so well kept for being around so long. And Sterling found out later that he had his prom there!

What are you most excited to see in the video?

Sterling is excited for the Drone feature! And I am so excited to just see the overall video and how you’ll put it together. Your work is amazing!
