We’re glad to share some more stories with you from the weird world of weddings. This time around we’ve got cake, lost rings, some blood-boiling material and seriously sweet seniors. Buckle up, let’s ride!

We usually save cake for last, and don’t worry we will, but the first of two cake articles is actually a compilation of “wedding cake horror stories.” Brought to you by Business Insider, these stories will make you feel fortunate you got through your cake cutting with not only just the cake intact, but also your body and marriage.

The first story will have many of us who have worked customer service to chuckle and feel the exasperation. A wedding coordinator, just moments before the wedding started, was handed a rather large porcelain figurine (she estimates it weighed about three pounds) by the mother of the bride and asked to place it on to top the cake. Glancing over at the “petite cake,” the coordinator kne for certain placing the figuring on the cake would be a mistake, so she placed it off to the side.

Well, the mother of the bride was none too pleased, so she picked it up and placed it on the cake. Sure enough, just a few moments later, there was the sound of glass breaking. You can probably guess exactly what happened. Be sure to check out the other stories! They’re a hoot!

The holidays are a rather stressful time, would you not agree? Add on top of the cooking, shopping, preparation for those beloved in-laws, and everything else...losing your wedding ring...and then imagine how cheerful your holiday spirits are.

This happened to Joann Johnson, who lost her ring while shopping at walmart over at Port Orchard, our neighbor to the west.

It also happened to be her twentieth anniversary.

Well, the ring was found, but the story will surprise you. Shiloah Avery, opening up her brand new instant pot, found a bonus gift inside, too. A wedding ring.

Being a good samaritan, Shiloah immediately went to social media, only for it to come across Joann’s page. And wouldn’t you know it, she was able to get her ring back on Christmas day! TAlk about Christmas miracles! Be sure to check out the video for the full story and the moment she received her ring back!

And now comes the time of week where we have to make your blood boil a little bit--but isn’t that natural when it comes to weddings? Get ready, this one is a doozy.

Originating from none other than Reddit, a bride posted, “long story short, I just found out that one of my bridesmaids will be 5-6 months pregnant on my wedding day.” Great, wonderful, happy news right? Surely since it’s her bridesmaid, she must be close, so she must be happy for her, right?

Wrong, because the bride follows up with, “This bridesmaid was also planning my super secret bachelorette party that I know no details of, but I’m assuming involved drinking that will probably either be changed or cancels.” Hold up, you think that because your bridesmaid can’t drink, she’ll put everyone else on the same prohibition? Come on.

There’s more, “Maybe I’m just thinking the worst here. But personally I think it’s wrong to get pregnant when you’re part of the bridal party and not tell the bride.” Hmm, yeah, nobody is really going to side with you on this one.

Reddit didn’t side with her either, with many calling her selfish and rude for not supporting her friend like she is her...by being her bridesmaid. Get over it, lady, there’s bigger fish to fry!

This one will surely warm your heart after your blood has been boiling, because this is a wonderfully happy story. After being married for 67 years, a wife and her husband had moved to a nursing home. Recently, the wife had fallen, injuring her hand and preventing her from wearing her beloved engagement ring.

So she stashed them away, only to have them suddenly go missing. Luckily, she was married to the ultimate catch of a guy. So he went along with his daughter and picked out some new rings for his wife. Just before Christmas, he presented her with the rings and in a tear-jerking video, well, you can probably guess there were quite a few tears...happy ones, to be exact.

I told you we would finish with cake! And with a local legend, too. Yes, you are reading that right: this is about Bill and Melinda Gates’ wedding back in 1994.

On their 25th anniversary, Melinda shared a humorous video to Facebook that was taken at their wedding, with a caption, “We told you it was time to cut the cake. You thought that meant you needed to cut a slice for everyone and did some astonishingly quick math to calculate exactly how big…”

She also happened to “forget” that the middle was made of cardboard, so be sure to check out the hilarious video from one of the dorkiest rich guys on the planet.
