Favorite Indoor Wedding Ceremonies 2018 Part 2

by Scott Johnson

Welcome back for part two of our Favorite Indoor Wedding Ceremonies of 2018! In case you missed part one, all you have to do is click here! We have six more great indoor wedding ceremonies coming your way, so we hope you are just as excited as we are. This time around we have got a few churches, athletic clubs, and one of our favorite tree farms. Get ready for the conclusion, because here we go!

Thomas Wedding

Washington state really isn’t known for its magnificent churches, but the Thomases sure knew how to pick one for their wedding. The impressive New Hope Presbyterian Church is such an open and inviting space for faith and love. Their June wedding saw a touch of overcast, though that made for the perfect weather for the first look. Heading inside the church for the ceremony, the towering walls and intricate woodwork behind the altar make everything feel so small and inconsequential, but nonetheless creates a beautiful sight.

Dazzling colors on the bridesmaids contrasted the sleekness of the groomsmens suits, while the light pouring in from the windows. One of our new favorite officiants delivered a grand sermon, connecting the soon-to-be newlyweds lives with their love for god. Without any doubt in them whatsoever, he gave the words that finally let them become husband and wife. We can’t wait to come back for some more!

Kangiser Wedding

The Kangiser wedding back in May took us to another lovely church, this time St. Rita’s. A toasty spring day let us take some photos outside on the waterfront before we headed back to the the church for the ceremony. The minute you step inside the church it feels like you have been transported to Europe. A little steeple sits atop the church, with the bell ringing every so often. Purple floors and oak floors come together amongst religious icons and the Stations of the Cross. The delightful facade inspires the imagination with a glimpse of Italy.

The intimate environment was such a vast contrast to the Thomas’ wedding, but nonetheless allowed the Kangisers to share their love and faith with one another, sealing their union in front of their families and god.

Van Cise Wedding

You might think the Trinity Tree Farm (which you saw in our Favorite Repeat Wedding Venues) would make for a better outdoor venue, but the serene interior of their main house is so beautiful whether it is in the rain or the sun. The Van Cise Wedding was blessed with a sunny March day, which by all means is a rarity. The sun light everyone’s moods, and got the day off to a brisk start.

Set against the swinging doors that opened outwards into the almost-Spring weather, it was like getting married at home. Lining the venue with lilac dresses and charcoal suits, the bridal party looked stunning with the sloping backyard behind them.

Foster Wedding

Another wonderful trip to a sports facility (check out the other one below), this time to The Washington Athletic Club, completely dropped our jaws. Right near the Convention Center, the WAC is a splendid venue that proved even more amazing when the Fosters chose to have their wedding here. Inside, the wedding hall looks like a royal ball room. Decadent chandeliers hang from the ceiling, while a glimmering purple backdrop gives off a magical glow that adds even more to the wonder.

The Fosters poignantly emotional wedding (kicked off by the groom becoming entirely overwhelmed before his bride made her way down the aisle) was backed by a dozen candles and full of tear-jerking vows. Though there were stifled sobs, the emotion was nothing but pure elation. The two finally kissed and became one, and all was right.

McGee Wedding

The McGee wedding back in January led us down to our next-door neighbor, Portland, Oregon! More importantly--the Sentinel Hotel, which is widely considered as one of the best luxury hotels on the West Coast. With a variety of rooms to get married in, from a grand ballroom with Italian Renaissance Frescoes, sophisticated meeting halls, and lovely libraries, the amount of choice and frills you get with this place is absurd.

But it’s absolutely top-notch, and the McGees knew it. Choosing the grand ballroom, their big ceremony really was like royalty. A mixture of golds and whites, one would think that Prince Harry would stroll right in. Standing on a stage at the end of the hall, surrounded by their family and pure elegance, it was an unforgettable sight. And if you thought the wedding was something else, check out the reception!

Bricker Wedding

We loved getting to celebrate a wedding at the Bellevue Club, somewhere near and dear to our hearts, and the Brickers’ day was nothing short of exceptional. The awesome facility, which has undergone a fair share of changes over the last couple years, provides tons of great amenities and even better photoshoot locations.

Most importantly, the ceremony hall was a work of art: low-lit with a deep purple backdrop, mixed in with some wood tones, and it was truly something special. A ceremony full of laughter, love, and perhaps a little bit of gun-jumping finally let the Brickers become husband and wife. The following reception continued to prove how great the Bellevue Club is with a classy, sophisticated event space that made the newlyweds really out to be the royalty they are. Did I forget to mention the stellar food?
